MARTIN GARCIA, KIZZY’S CHAOS, Winner: “This horse is a real professional. I was the only speed and nobody really put any pressure on us. I slowed it up as good as I could and he really finished. At the half-mile, a horse tried to go up inside, but I was going so easy I just let out a notch and he opened up again. I had so much confidence in him. I knew the distance wouldn’t be a problem.”
RAFAEL BEJARANO, CHURCH SERVICE, Second: “I had a perfect trip. I saved ground on both turns and tried to make one big run in the stretch. Unfortunately no one put any pressure on the horse on the lead. My horse was really finishing that last sixteenth.”
VLADIMIR CERIN, KIZZY’S CHAOS, Winner: “It helped not having other speed in the race. This is a nice horse out of a good family. His sister ran third in the Railbird (Will O Way) and Will O Wisp was a pretty good horse. I’ve never had a horse that can stay like this. We would like to try him in the Gold Cup if it’s handicapped and they handicap us. Sometimes weight makes the difference. There are mile and one-half and mile and five-eighth races all over the country but they’re not huge purses. He’s a good shipper unlike his brother.”
