Chris Skotz Wins Hollypark’s Firecracker Handicapping Challenge; Ten Others Qualify For 2012 National Handicapping Championship
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (July 6, 2011)—Chris Skotz was the winner of the two-day NHC Firecracker Handicapping Challenge July 3-4 at Hollywood Park.
The Challenge was a Super Qualifier for the 2012 Daily Racing Form/National Thoroughbred Racing Association National Handicapping Championship to be held next January in Las Vegas.
The top 10 finishers earned spots in the National Handicapping Championship. The winning total of Skotz was $314.50.
Since Skotz had previously qualified for the NHC, 11th place finisher Zev Lederman was the final qualifier.
The rest of the qualifiers: Gary Bain, Brett Kelly, Cheryl McIntyre, Stanley Bavlish, Gary Johnson, Bruce McCraig, Mark McGuire, Dan Harris and Cara Yarusso.
