INGLEWOOD, Calif. (March 27, 2013)—Doinghardtimeagain, who earned the lone stakes win of her career in the inaugural Soviet Problem Stakes at Betfair Hollywood Park, returns to conventional dirt in the $200,000 Evening Jewel Stakes Saturday at Santa Anita.
Scheduled at 6 ½ furlongs, the Evening Jewel is part of the Golden State Series and is restricted to 3-year-old fillies bred or sired in California. It is the sixth of nine races. Post time Saturday at Santa Anita is 12:30 p.m. Track gates at Betfair Hollywood Park will open at 10:15 a.m. for simulcasts.
Owned by breeders Tom and Debi Stull’s Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and trained by Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer, Doinghardtimeagain won the Soviet Problem by 2 ¼ lengths last Dec. 9 over Cushion Track.
In a pair of 2013 outings, the Ministers Wild Cat filly out of the Conquistador Cielo mare Silver Hawk Lady has finished fourth in the California Breeders’ Champion Stakes Jan. 26 and was second behind Judy In Disguise in the grassy Sweet Life Stakes Feb. 16.
Doinghardtimeagain will be seeking her third win in her seventh start Saturday. She has earned $236,270.
