INGLEWOOD, Calif. (April 7, 2010) — The Plain White T’s are first up in the 2011 Hollywood Park Spring/Summer concert lineup as they will perform in the North Park following the races Friday, April 22
There will be 12 Friday night programs during the 54-day, 13-week Spring/Summer meet, which begins Thursday, April 21. First post time Fridays is at 7:05 p.m. The lone exception is a 1 p.m. post time May 6 — eve of the Kentucky Derby. Concerts will begin after the final race — approximately 10:30 p.m.
This is the third year the concerts will be held in the North Park. The move was made in 2009 to accommodate more fans.
The concerts are included for admission of $15.
The North Park, located at the north end of the grandstand, offers an excellent view of the turn for home and the stretch. It is bordered on the north by Cassidy Lane, the path horses use to walk from the stable area to the saddling paddock.
Each of the Friday night programs will feature $1 hot dogs and sodas throughout the evening and $1 draft beer until 9 p.m.
