INGLEWOOD, Calif. (November 6, 2013)—Lemon de Oro, a maiden winner last month at Keeneland, will make her local debut in the $100,000 Moccasin Stakes Saturday at Betfair Hollywood Park.

An ungraded race for 2-year-old fillies at seven furlongs over Cushion Track, the Moccasin – returning to the stakes calendar after a one-year absence – is the second of nine races. Post time Saturday at Betfair Hollywood Park is 12:30 p.m. Track gates will open at 9:55 a.m. for simulcasts.

The Pick Six pool will continued to be guaranteed at $150,000 every Saturday throughout the season, a promotion which began at the 2012 Autumn meet and continued successfully during the Spring/Summer meet earlier this year.

Should the pool reach $200,000, $1 food and drink Happy Hour specials will be available at Whittingham’s Pub and the Betfair Players’ Lounge.

Additionally, a single winning Pick Six ticket –purchased either at Betfair Hollywood Park or through Television Games Network (TVG) – will earn a bonus – a new Prius – courtesy of Toyota of Orange.

Every Saturday throughout the meet – and closing day (Sunday, Dec. 22) – will feature a commemorative pin giveaway – one per paid admission while supplies last. The pins honor some of the legendary stakes races run at Hollywood Park during its illustrious 75-year history.

Owned by breeder Farfellow Farms Ltd. and trained by H. Graham Motion., Lemon de Oro won by three-quarters of a length over 11 opponents in her synthetic track debut over the Polytrack surface Oct. 19 at Keeneland.

A daughter of Lemon Drop Kid and the Belong to Me mare Estrella de Oro, Lemon de Oro has started her career by running three times at as many different tracks. She finished eighth in her debut on the turf at Saratoga Sept. 1, then was ninth on the Belmont grass Sept. 13 before venturing to Kentucky. She’s earned $34,280.

Motion, who trained 2011 Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, has had stakes success during the Autumn meet in recent years. He won the 2010 Matriarch with Gypsy’s Warning and the 2011 Hollywood Turf Cup with Sanagas.

Bajan comes off a 2 ¼-length victory in the Anoakia Stakes Oct. 13 at Santa Anita.

The win was the second in four outings for the daughter of Speightstown and the Aptitude mare Critikal Reason. Trained by Simon Callaghan, Bajan has banked $99,150 for owners Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Ronald Frankel.
For Emma debuts for co-owners Reddam Racing LLC and trainer Doug O’Neill after being claimed for $50,000 out of an easy maiden victory Oct. 10 at Santa Anita.

A D’wildcat filly out of the Dixieland Heat mare Dandy Dulce won by 10 ¼ lengths in her initiation. The romp was worth $17,400.

Reddam Racing LLC and O’Neill will also be represented by the maiden Perched. The daughter of Into Mischief and the Pine Bluff mare Love Catcher has hit the board in two of her five races and earned $39,250.

In her most recent start, Perched was third, beaten by 10 lengths by City by the Bay in the Barretts Debutante Sept. 14 at the Barretts Race Meet at Fairplex.

E Equalsmcsquared will try to turn the tables on Bajan after finishing second in the Anoakia.

Second behind She’s a Tiger in the Landaluce Stakes July 13 in her most recent appearance at Betfair Hollywood Park, E Equalsmcsquared has earned $66,300 while winning once in six starts.

Eric Kruljac trains the Einstein filly out of the Conquistador Cielo mare Prairie Spring for Omar Aldabbagh, Linden Hatch and Brent Stapley.

Like For Emma, Sergeant O’Rourke, bred and owned in partnership by David J. Lanzman Racing Stable, Inc, is stepping into stakes company after a debut score against maiden claimers.

A daughter of Forestry and the Memo mare Me Moe You Curly, Sergeant O’Rourke, who is trained by Peter Miller, won by 3 ¼ lengths as the 7-5 favorite against $75,000 stock Oct. 19 at Santa Anita, earning $20,400.

From inside out, the field for the 26th Moccasin Stakes: Lemon de Oro, Joe Talamo rides, 116 pounds; Sergeant O’Rourke, Edwin Maldonado, 116; E Equalsmcsquared, Mike Smith, 116; Perched, Rafael Bejarano, 116; Bajan, Victor Espinoza, 118 and For Emma, Mario Gutierrez, 116.
