INGLEWOOD, Calif. (December 2, 2012)—Jockey Martin Garcia will be the guest of co-hosts Michael Burns and George Ortuzar on Escogiendo Ganadores (Picking Winners) Saturday, Dec. 8 at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Garcia, Burns and Ortuzar will discuss the rider’s career as well as the Saturday program, including the Grade I, $500,000-guaranteed Hollywood Starlet for 2-year-old fillies and the $200,000 Bayakoa Stakes – Presented by the Oak Tree Racing Association – , a Grade II for older fillies and mares. Both races are at 1 1/16 miles over Cushion Track. Garcia was third aboard Lady Pecan in the 2011 Starlet and won the Bayakoa a year ago with the Bob Baffert-trained Ellafitz.
Escogiendo Ganadores begins at 11 a.m. at the Paddock Tote Board.
