INGLEWOOD, Calif. (November 22, 2012)—There were 285 winning tickets in the Pick Six Thursday at Betfair Hollywood Park.
Each perfect ticket was worth $6,935.80 A total of $2,651,873 was wagered into the Pick Six Thursday in pursuit of a three-day carryover of $560,134.
The total pool of $3,212,007 was the second largest in Autumn meet history. The record of $3,379,014 was established when Hollywood Park played host to the Breeders’ Cup for a third time November 8, 1997.
The largest amount wagered on a single day in the Pick Six in track history is $7,596,347 July 2, 2007. The record figure was preceded by a four-day carryover of $3,274,505.
Shadow Runner, who paid $16.60 capturing the next-to-last race in the sequence, was the highest priced winner in Thursday’s Pick Six. Other winners: Blushing Martha ($8.20), Beau Royale ($6.80), Private Affair ($8.60), Church Avenue ($6.20) and Sacred Ovation ($4.60).
