INGLEWOOD, Calif. (October 7, 2010)—Ruffled Feathers, a California bred who has not been off the board in five starts on the Hollywood Park turf course, is among five fillies and mares entered in the $55,000-added Swingtime Stakes Sunday at Oak Tree/Hollywood Park.

Owned by a partnership that includes Steven Lavino and Michael Riordan and trained by Paddy Gallagher, the 4-year-old daughter of Include out of the Awesome Again mare Diane Again has won four of 16 and earned $224,058.

Three of her wins have come in 2010, including a 1 ¼ length score over seven opponents in a $53,120 allowance on May 28 at Hollywood Park. The victory came at the Swingtime distance of one mile.

The only member of the lineup coming off a win is Briecat. Trained by Vladimir Cerin for owners David and Holly Wilson, the 5-year-old daughter of Adcat and the Marlin mare Silk Briefcase led throughout in capturing the $50,000 Las Madrinas Handicap on Sept. 25 at Fairplex Park.

The win was the seventh in 22 starts for the Florida bred and pushed her earnings to $366,165. Her sole victory on grass came in the Chandler Stakes on Nov. 15, 2008 at Turf Paradise.

A two-time winner on turf in her career, Burg Berg is returning to grass after finishing fourth in the Adoration on the Del Mar Polytrack on Sept. 5.

Trained by Paco Gonzalez for owner-breeders John and Cheryl Toffan, Burg Berg, a 4-year-old Johannesburg filly out of the Seattle Sleet mare Snowberg has won three of 15, banking $191,734. She is seeking her first win on the turf at Hollywood Park. She has been second in three of her four local starts.

First or second in three of five on the local turf, Oui Say Oui comes off a runner-up effort in an optional claimer on Sept. 3 at Del Mar, losing by a neck to Timezone.

Owned by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds LLC and Gary and Cecil Barber, Oui Say Oui has won two of 17 and earned $172,941. The 4-year-old Royal Applause filly out of the Shirley Heights mare Mohican Princess is trained by John Sadler.

Last of four in the Las Madrinas, Value Stream has won two of nine on grass. Owned by Robert S. Evans and trained by Neil Drysdale, the 5-year-old daughter of A.P. Indy and the Storm Cat mare Storm Beauty has won three of 20 overall while earning $178,134.

From inside out, the field for the Swingtime Stakes: Ruffled Feathers, Corey Nakatani rides, 121 pounds; Value Stream, David Flores, 117; Briecat, Alonso Quinonez, 119; Oui Say Oui, Brice Blanc, 117 and Burg Berg, Rafael Bejarano, 117.
