TVG To Present On-Site Coverage Of Betfair Hollywood Park Fall Meet And Offer Several Exciting Promotions

LOS ANGELES, November 2, 2012 – Racing returns to Betfair Hollywood Park on November 8 for a 24-day meet that concludes December 16, and TVG, America’s Horseracing Network, will be on site at the Los Angeles track to present live coverage.

In addition to televising the proceedings, TVG will also offer fans several exciting promotions, including Pick 6 Saturdays, in which during the promotion up to two lucky fans will have the opportunity to win a Toyota Prius by being the only person to successfully win that day’s Pick 6 wager when they bet through TVG or at the track; and Super Sundays, a $25,000 handicapping challenge in which people can play with TVG or at the track for the opportunity to share in a weekly $3,000 payout and qualify for the closing weekend’s $10,000 prize.

Also making its debut will be the Halftime Hitting Challenge Featuring Paul LoDuca, the former Major Leaguer and current TVG analyst. As part of this promotion, one patron can win a $100 wager by correctly predicting whether LoDuca can hit a ball from the track into the famous Betfair Hollywood Park lake.

Fall racing at Betfair Hollywood Park will be conducted Thursdays through Sundays and will include 18 stakes with purses exceeding $3.8 million. There will be 12 graded stakes, including four Grade I contests. As is the custom, Betfair Hollywood Park will present its annual Turf Festival over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Highlighting the meet will be the Grade I, $750,000 Cash Call Futurity (December 15), a race that often plays a major role in identifying the nation’s leading two-year-old. Rounding out the Grade I events are the Matriarch (November 25), Hollywood Derby (November 25) and Hollywood Starlet (December 8).
